Why did Carolina Casanova publish something this personal?
It actually started with my Lake Atitlán book. That book is close to my heart and reflects who I am today. Around the same time, I held the very first printed copy of The Rose in my hands. I can’t describe that feeling. After thousands of hours of writing, rewriting, laughing, crying and creating, there it was. A real book.
That evening I proudly brought it to an event. People asked where they could buy it and told me they wanted to read it. In that moment something shifted. I thought, duck it. I’ve poured so much love, passion and courage into these pages. Why hide it?
So I published it. Not because it’s perfect, but because it’s real. I’m no longer afraid to show my unfettered creative self.
When can we expect Carolina Casanova her new book The Rose’s Pistil?
Holy moly… I wish I knew.
I started writing The Rose’s Pistil at the end of 2025, and it’s already well over 500 pages. Ever since my first week-long Joe Dispenza retreat, my life has been one unbelievable adventure after another. It feels as if I opened a door that can’t be closed again, and the stories just keep coming.
I write when the creative flow is there and there are more stories and bridges to write whilst other parts will be shortened or disappear.
What I can promise is this: if you enjoy my style of writing and have interrest in the mystical you will love The Rose’s Pistil. It’s written by the woman I became after The Rose. And trust me… you’re not ready for some of these stories.

Without a doubt: Handcuffs, Lust & A Cruel Reveal.
I’ve performed it on countless stages, in intimate gatherings with friends, one-on-one, and even at work-events. To this day I’m still amazed they didn’t fire me after hearing a poem packed with so many juicy sexual details.
I can confidently say it’s a masterpiece. It lures the men in during the first half, only to make the women cheer in the second. It has a way of making you remember things you’d rather forget… while laughing about them.
I’ve seen every reaction imaginable. People burst into laughter. Some blush. Some sit in complete silence afterwards, processing what they just heard. A few have even walked out.
And honestly? I love every single reaction.
What is Carolina Casanova her favourite book?
That’s a difficult question because they represent two very different versions of me.
Lake Atitlán reflects who I am today. It’s more than a travel guide; it’s a love letter to a place that has slowly come to feel more like home than my actual home in Amsterdam.
But if I had to choose, I’d lean towards The Rose. I poured years of my life into it. It holds some of my favourite poems, the funniest stories, and memories that still make me laugh. More than anything, it represents thousands of hours of writing, rewriting, doubting, creating, and finally finding the courage to share it with the world. I think that’s why it feels so rewarding.
That said… I have a feeling The Rose’s Pistol may one day take its place. As unlike The Rose, it reflects the woman I’ve become today. Ask me again when it’s finished.
